A central BAUWELT file storage system provides the space necessary to store your data related for your courses, lectures and projects.
For security reasons (virus protection, malware prevention) data on the file server is only accessible from BAUWELT PCs.
Access from non-BAUWELT computers, even via VPN, is not possible.
Each student gets a home directory with 20 GB space on the central data server.
Your home directory is available as network drive BAUWELT Home (X:)
If you are working on projects that requires more than 20 GB space, you can request more space by contact the BAUWELT IT Team.
In case you accidentally delete a file or folder from your home directory, you can restore them by accessing Restore previous versions
in the context menu (right mouse click).
There is also a central space where you can find source data and course information provided by your instructor.
The course folders are on network drive BAUWELT Unterlagen (U:)
All data is read only for students. Institute members can access the appropriate directory within this share. In case you are not able to access an institute directory but you should, please contact us.
Please note: All data within this share are only backed up to provide disaster recovery. Please make sure, that you have a copy within your institute share to maintain your course data.
If you are working within a project with other students and you need scratch space (without backup) to store and share your data, you can request a project folder by submitting the form Request New Project Directory.
You'll find the projects folders on network drive BAUWELT Projekte (P:)
On all BAUWELT workstations, you can find the storage locations mentioned above on the following drive letters:
